Pondy Hub - A Center for Culture and Heritage

Academic I B.Arch I 2019

This project proposal was developed as part of an urban case study report on Pondicherry. Each member of the group proposed ideas based on their understanding from the case study. The proposal I made comes at a time when Pondicherry has undergone significant urbanization over the last 20 years, resulting in a shortage of space and a lack of a dedicated building to showcase the city’s culture and traditions.

As one of the top tourist attractions in South India, Pondicherry needs a cultural hub, and this proposal aims to address that need. The proposed center will include an auditorium, museum, library, restaurants, rehearsal rooms, and shops to promote local craftsmanship.
